One of the common narratives in crypto is the concept that specific high-net-worth individuals, groups, institutions or governments are manipulating prices in the crypto market. Now, I am not talking about particular situations isolated to one cryptocurrency where a company inflated the price of their own token. Instead, I am referring to the concept/narrative that market manipulation is widespread, intentional and aimed at affecting the crypto market on the macro level.
I'm interested to hear what everyone's take is on manipulation in the crypto market. I have seen a wide range of justifications, or lack thereof, as to why someone believes this narrative, and I sometimes don't see hard facts or evidence to back up claims. I am not for or against this narrative; just curious about how others understand it.
Do you think there is manipulation in the crypto market? Feel free to comment on why you support this narrative or why you do not.
