Reminder: If you're ever thinking, "I should have bought X coin when it was at Y market capitalization for Z profits." Then you're not investing, you're gambling

I don't want to draw comparisons between any coins whatsoever, but if you dig far enough back into my post history, you'll find a comment from me that said: "If I knew how the future would've played out, I would've bought this coin with 5000 USD, became a millionaire, then dumped it for that coin to become a multi-millionaire."

With the above, in mind, even I was / am guilty of thinking like this. Those two coins I'm talking about in that comment, are not performing so well right now. However, BTC and Eth have basically been the only 2 coins that are at the top of the market consistently for the past few years, - both in the bull markets and bear markets.

My own personal attitude has just been to continue DCA'ing ETG and BTC and not worry too much about other coins. But now and then I find myself tempted to buy some lower market-cap alts.

LINK I remember was trading on even the smallest exchanges I could see in 2019, when it was number 76 by market cap. I saw it go to the top 30, and thought, "Surely it's too late to buy and make profits now." then it hit top 20, "Ok, definitely too late now." top 10. "Ok, for sure I missed the boat."

The only problem is, the closest gambling analogy I can draw is that it's most similar to the roulette wheel, and you're basically waiting a long time to see that roulette wheel make a massive payoff to you or take away a massive chunk of the investment you made.

I'm waiting for the next gut-wrenching plummet or dip to buy or DCA into alt-coins. If it's one thing I learned from March of 2020, it's basically "If it looks like the end of the financial world is coming, that is the time to buy, and buy as much as possible without over-leveraging myself."
