Sony Bank received conditional approval to set up Connectia Trust as a US subsidiary capitalized at $40 million. I think their plan is to issue and manage dollar-denominated stablecoins, with early signals pointing toward payments in games and anime-related services. Full operations still require final regulatory clearance.

I believe it could draw in users already comfortable with Sony’s entertainment and gaming products, since a familiar name might lower the barrier compared to standalone crypto apps.

If the stablecoins integrate directly into those services, some spending that currently happens off-chain could move on-chain in those verticals.

One path forward is that other consumer-facing brands watch the process and decide the regulatory route looks workable, leading to more similar setups over the next year or two.

Hi, I live in Russia and want to move out of here, I don't have any education, I can save up and move to some Russian speaking countries, but I'll probably get stuck, while I am in Russia I have support network so I am self-studying for a few hours every day osint, programming and crypto, because AI(I know stupid, but I don't where else to ask) said that companies in crypto are more willing to hire juniors, plus while in Russia I can only receive payments in crypto, before I move if everything is playing right.

I've been thinking about BTC’s opportunity cost. People can still be long-term bullish, but when AI stocks, gold, oil, or other trades are moving faster, it becomes harder to decide the portion to allocate to BTC. Holding can still make sense, especially as a core position, but there is a trade-off when other assets have clearer momentum. That is what I keep going back and forth on. I look at BTC on bydfi these days and realized I was comparing it against others with the same capital.

I'm the maintainer of a few OSS projects. My most popular tool (called Termix, website, and mobile app) has over 14k GitHub stars and 10M+ Docker pulls. A few months ago, I started accepting crypto donations for that project (BTC, ETH, and SOL), and since then, I've started digging into the field of crypto as a whole. I've been looking into wallet monitoring, webhooks, all for the purpose of notifying me when I've been donated to.

My idea: A free app (website/mobile app) that sends you a push notification any time you get sent crypto to a wallet address you are watching. This would be aimed at people like me, OSS maintainers, streamers, anyone taking donations, who just want to know the second that they've received a donation.

Of course, services like this already exist such as cryptocurrencyalerting.com. However, there has yet to be (from what I've seen, correct me if I'm wrong) a single service that is account-less and free. The plan is to keep it free and fund it through donations; more donations unlock more chains where I can self-host my own nodes to feed the notifications.

Initially, the app will just be fed from QuickNode since I believe that will cover the initial user base, but as I gain more users and donations, I will begin self-hosting nodes for different networks, which would allow me to keep the app free.

Before I sink time into building it, I wanted to check if this is something that would be actually useful to people or if it already exists and I've missed it. What are your thoughts?

I’m starting to wonder if holding altcoins is worth the risk. Every cycle so many get wiped out, while BTC keeps proving itself. Hello, I have been troubleshooting this for hours and cannot figure it out. Hoping someone smarter than me can help.

I am trying to migrate from Exodus to Cake Wallet. When I use my seed phrase, Cake Wallet recognizes all of my assets except my Litecoin.

Some research tells me they use different derivation paths - Cake Wallet uses m/84'/2'/0 and Exodus uses m/44'/2'/0'/0/0.

Does this mean that they are entirely incompatible, or is there a way to import the wallet using the private key? I tried this but I can't figure out exactly what key(s) to put into Cake Wallet.

Years ago I started to invest a big portion of my savings into CRO because I started using their crypto card for cashback. Since then it never went up more than 0.20 and always fell back to this level.

Imo there could be big potential like the own currency from Binance. But even though they lowered the stake rewards, it never made it back to almost one dollar and slowly I’m losing my hopium. Is there anyone else investing in it and can tell me if it’s worth it or should I change to something different.

For a lot of people, crypto is still mostly speculation and scams. For me, it has solved a core business problem.

openrender.app exists because crypto made it possible to build a platform that can accept payments without a long onboarding process, meeting Visa and Mastercards arbitrary naughty list, and settle funds for expensive compute instantly.

Traditional payment processors basically refused onboarding for uncensored NSFW image and video generation. When a platform touches that kind of content, a lot of normal payment rails just won’t support it, which makes it tough to build anything sustainable.

What crypto gave me:

• A way to serve users globally.
• Instant settlement for compute-heavy service costs.
• A low fee path for small-value transactions and top-ups.
• No strict payment processor requirements.

OpenRender is still a work in progress, but crypto was one of the reasons it could get off the ground at all. Without it I would not have been able to take any payments, and would be stuck wrestling with "high risk" merchant accounts.

Curious how other founders here are using crypto for actual product infrastructure instead of just fundraising/speculation. Honestly, OpenRender probably wouldn’t exist in its current form without crypto.

One major drawback: a lot of people simply have a habit of using cards, and are scared to touch crypto. For those users, I serve them via Thirdweb which does FIAT to crypto on ramping automatically - the issue is it's clunky and not particularly smooth. Does anyone know of a similar product to Thirdweb, where the customer pays by card and I get crypto?

I keep seeing a lot of discussion about "Cardano/ADA is dead" over the past two weeks. I used to hold it check its price and movement on bydfi again. So just share my non-professional takes on why it lost momentum. Curious to hear what others think.

1. Price is doing real damage. ADA falling to multi-year lows makes it harder for people to stay patient, even if they still like the tech.
2. Adoption still feels weak. A lot of people expected more visible apps, users, stablecoin activity, or ecosystem growth by now.
3. Governance has become harder to ignore. The failed Cardano Summit funding vote and broader community arguments make the project feel less coordinated.
4. Some ecosystem signals look rough. When tools or projects shut down, it adds to the feeling that momentum is fading.

Not saying Cardano is dead at all, but “slow and steady” is becoming harder to defend. Curious how active ADA traders/holders see it.

After Strategy sold BTC, many people suddenly seemed bearish.

If your long-term view on Bitcoin hasn't changed, why does one big sale suddenly change everything?

Is this genuine concern, or just short-term market noise?

By now, we have seen the historic news of Saylor’s Strategy selling $216M in Bitcoin. Some of you may be shocked, or confused as this contradicts his promise to “never sell your Bitcoin”.

I broke down the mechanics in a full analysis, figuring out why Strategy unfortunately has to do so, here's the short version.

STRC (Stretch) is Strategy’s preferred stock, designed to provide investors with a steady cash dividend while giving Strategy additional capital to purchase more Bitcoin.

Strategy's STRC preferred stock is supposed to trade near $100 (its "par" value), defended by Strategy raising or lowering its dividend rate. In April, STRC broke that parity and kept falling, hitting an all-time low of $71.25 in June. Strategy hiked the rate to fix it (11.50% to 12.00%), and price partially recovered to the high $80s, but still below par.

The problem: Without STRC being at par, Strategy cannot effectively raise further funds to buy BTC

Since STRC is still below par, Strategy is going to have to raise rates further and this would put further strain on Strategy’s cash reserve. A reserve which back in May, for unrelated reasons actually dropped below its own 12-month safety minimum. To rebuild their cash reserve, they had to raise capital and part of that rebuild unfortunately meant selling $216M in Bitcoin.

The real insight is what’s next, Strategy is currently authorized to sell up to $1.25B for this purpose of funding dividend payments. They have used $216M of that (17%) but STRC is still trading below par (~$88 as of writing), so this pressure hasn’t gone away. Nothing's confirmed, but I wouldn't be surprised if we see more sales.

BlackRock's Bitcoin ETF (IBIT) recorded a $209M inflow after several weeks of relatively weaker activity.

While one day of inflows doesn't establish a trend, ETF data remains an important indicator of institutional participation in the crypto market. Combined with on-chain metrics, liquidity, and macro conditions, it can provide useful context beyond short-term price movements.

How much weight do you give ETF flows when analyzing the market? Do you consider them a leading indicator, or do you focus more on other metrics?

Why we need to focus on tech again:

Cause in tech there is no dilution.

There are only a handful of altcoins, whos blockchain can pull off serious tech. E.g. SUI, ICP, TAO, etc.

I would even say, all the goat blockchains are alright and there is enough liquidity for everyone.

Just consider how much liquidity we wasted on pushing new people into memecoin scams:

e.g. Trump, Melania, Wif, Bonk, Mother, Turbo, Pepe, Wojak, Pengu, Fartboi, etc. (all centralized memecoin scams)

The list of fake-crypto (memecoins) is never ending and it cost us credibility and only enriched the already rich. Memecoins are the most anti crypto thing imagineable and can be seen like a destructive virus. I go that far to say elon musk endorsed dogecoin to start a destructive virus for crypto, cause he wanted to destroy what he cannot own.

If our narrative goes back to serious tech, all problems of dilution are solved in an instant. You cannot dilute something of value and what is hard to create.

That's why we all need to work together and push the narrative of tech.

If anyone's migrating off a custodial setup because of this: send a tiny test amount first, confirm you actually control the recovery phrase, then move the rest. Applies to any hardware wallet, not just ours.

A lot of people treat altcoin risk like it starts when price drops.

I think it usually starts earlier, when you buy something without knowing what would make you exit.

If the plan is only "hold until it pumps", every update becomes emotional. A partnership rumor feels bullish. A team delay becomes "still early". A big unlock becomes "priced in". The thesis keeps changing because there was never a real one.

The simplest filter I like is asking 3 things before buying.

What would prove this idea wrong?

What would make me sell even if price is up?

What would make me hold even if price is down?

If those answers are vague, the position is probably too big or too narrative driven.

Not saying every coin needs a 20 page thesis. But if you cannot name the exit conditions, you are not really investing. You are just waiting for the market to decide for you.

It seems to me to be a good middle ground between a custodial wallet and a non custodial wallet where you have to protect and backup your own seed. The app encrypts your password locally and stores it on their servers so you have recovery options while not giving the company access to your funds. I guess the risk is the company could brute force the passwords? Or someone hacks them, but theyd likely find out before the hackers could brute force a significant amount of the passwords? How long would it take to brute force AES 256 encrypted passwords?

I see so many influencers pushing magic indicators, exclusive VIP signal groups, and trading bots lately.

To me, it feels like a total scam. If these strategies actually worked consistently, the creators wouldn’t need to charge for them, they’d be busy making money with their own capital instead of grinding for subscription fees.

Holding of blockchain altcoins (the main and goated ones) still doesn't feel easy, but i come into a phase, where i feel i can hold them again.

Somehow my rythm always tells me when it's time to hold and it mostly differs from the typical sentiment.

They say crypto is dead and a lot of these people are not into crypto, but came in through fake crypto -> memecoins. Of course these people are clueless and they think just because they entered during the memecoin frenzy, they think they have figured it all out. But actually they were never crypto to begin with.

five series of perpetual preferred stock carrying $750-800M in annual dividend obligations,
obligations that don’t pause for bear markets and dont care about average cost basis so dont respond to tweets about $21 million btc price targets.
strategy bought at an average of $75,699 per coin and btc is at $62K ,basically they are underwater on cost basis and selling into weakness to service debt.

Saylor's argument in may was that selling 32 coins kept credit market confidence intact which funded buying 175,000 new coins (clean logic in a bull market lol) but harder to run when you are trading below the NAV of your own holdings and the preferred dividend clock keeps ticking.

people who built the copycat treasury model like the korean media company that bought 10k btc now holds zero, the dozen other nasdaq listed companies that ran the saylor playbook with less runway are watching this morning's filing carefully.

owning btc directly and owning a leveraged company that owns btc are not the same and never were.

I've always wondered whether rewards actually change people's behavior or if they're just a nice bonus.For example, would earning crypto back on everyday purchases make you:

Anyone else get their money stolen from [r/simpleswap](r/simpleswap)[_io](r/simpleswap) ? Sent 25 dollars in btc to swap to sol, they cancelled the transaction and “refunded” my money to a random wallet address - after multiple times of telling them to return it to the exact same address that sent it. Luckily only $25 but I’m sure others had had similar experiences? What is the recourse for these scammers?

This idea has been posted before and isn't new, just starting the discussion again. It would be a perfect opportunity as Sony have just announced the demise of the physical disk. What if the right to play the game existed on the blockchain, you could trade the game just by transferring that token. It could work cross platform, you could just plug your keys into the console you're using or authenticate using it's native identity platform. Games have not been stored on discs for years but the right to play has been kept on them as a physical token to unlock the right to play. For me this is a perfect use case that cannot be forged or pirated. The contract is issued by the game company, it can be onsold this way, borrowed for a period of time under contact etc, use case is endless.

From what I heard, the vast majority think BTC is the undisputed king. While Xrp is not that interesting anymore. Some treat XRP even as a joke.

XTZ made a fresh all time low about a week ago, around $0.20, and we're barely above it now. Down 97% from the top, below the floor that held since 2018. Market cap is around a quarter billion, which is basically what the ICO raised in 2017. Nine years, round trip. Crypto is rough everywhere right now, but Tezos has been hit harder than most.

For context, I'm a generative artist. I've released work on Tezos and so have a lot of artists I know, some of their best stuff, in small digital editions. So I'm biased, obviously. But I've watched this ecosystem the whole way down, and the gap between what it is and what it's priced at is kind of absurd at this point.

The art is the part outsiders don't get. Minting costs pennies here, so artists actually experiment. That's why hic et nunc blew up in 2021 and why fxhash became the home of generative art. Thousands of artists, millions of works. Zancan's Garden, Monoliths gets talked about next to Fidenza. William Mapan dropped Dragons here before Art Blocks made him famous. All that work lives on this chain and nowhere else, and to me the coin is sort of backed by it. Not like gold in a vault, more like real people who stayed through the whole crash because they're here for the work.

Meanwhile the chain never stopped. 21 upgrades since 2018, no forks, no downtime, and the 21st just went live on June 30. Blocks are 6 seconds, and a transfer costs a fraction of a cent whether it's $10 or $10k.

And there's genuinely interesting stuff ahead. Etherlink (the EVM L2) went from about $1.5M to $82M TVL last year. And Tezos X, the biggest architecture change in the chain's history, has its testnet live and is aiming for mainnet this summer.

Bear case is real: maybe none of this flows to XTZ, competitors have more money and attention, NFT volume is a shadow of 2021, and cheap can always get cheaper. If Tezos X slips, nobody will care.

I hold a little XTZ, so not financial advice. But for me it comes down to one thing: artists kept releasing their best work here through the entire crash. Chains with actual culture don't just disappear. Or at least I hope not.

Does anyone else ever fall down massive internet rabbit holes and completely lose track of time? I recently stumbled into the world of those unsolved Bitcoin puzzles. I don't know why, but I somehow convinced myself I was going to be the one to finally crack a 1 BTC wallet. Fast forward a few days, and my search history is an absolute trainwreck of "BTC puzzle solver," "cracking SHA-256 hashes," and deep dives into cryptographic theory. Spoiler alert: I did not solve it. I have exactly zero extra Bitcoin to show for my efforts, but I did manage to give myself a massive headache. I'm moving and as I was packing/throwing stuff away I found a sealed envelope that said "[my name] crypto - do not throw away" on the front. Inside there is a piece of paper with 12 seemingly random words and at the top it says "all lowercase".

I don't remember buying crypto, but maybe I did in the 2010's? If I do have crypto somewhere how can I find out where it is? Is there a "wallet" or other storage solution that specifically uses 12 word passwords? Would I have some email somewhere that would let me know I made an account somewhere?

For years now many of us have asked (or are still asking) “is this legit? a scam?” “when is it gonna boom?“ “is there a future in bitcoin?” and so on, to which the subreddit answer often comes from one of three factions: a hard “yes” from holders who dive into the nuances of statistics (mining performance, decentralized governance etc in full support etc), short term traders emphasizing the potential of timing the pump and dump casino, and the traditional traders who don’t trust it at all. The simpler truth is, “BTC” was never meant to be traded like a stock—it‘s just a digital currency. You can look at the initial boom as the transition from mostly paper registers to signs that say “cashless payments only.” Of course people who bet on it early were going to get a nice chunk of change as more and more people started using apple pay. Bitcoin is basically a decentralized Visa prepaid card. I’m not saying it’s valuable or not valuable, I don’t know what it’s gonna do, but if you view the bitcoin market as if a whole lot of people suddenly invested in the peso, yeah it’s gonna look volatile and different from another stock as well as less stable than a currency. Anyways… just some food for thought. Maybe for some of you a xanax. I’d love to hear your opinions for or against cryptocurrency :)

Hello everyone! I recently used Switcher.finance, as I noticed many people recommended it.

Unfortunately, after using it to swap some crypto, they received my crypto but refused to send the crypto that I am supposed to get. After contacting them, they keep saying that they sent it to me but stuck at transit.

I also did some digging afterwards, and realised that they operate a massive bot farm, using multiple account to promote their services across social media. This is a massive fraud and scam.

Until this is resolved, please avoid it at all costs. Based on my experience, I believe this is a massive scam.

Historically, within a bear market, July has always been the month with the strongest upward momentum.

The 365-day bull market cycle is projected to end in October 2026.

If the market behaves as it did in previous cycles, July would merely be a "bull trap." Following July, we would then see another significant downward move.

Of course, this "forecast" is not 100% certain, and the market could behave differently than in the last cycle.

However, so far, BTC has behaved exactly as it did in earlier bear markets. In my view, there is no relevant reason to expect a change in this pattern.

Since we are dealing with established cycles, the current forecast is based on a "self-fulfilling prophecy": most of us know the cycle, use it as a guide, and trade according to the expected trend. That is precisely why this cycle is likely to play out just like the previous ones.

Only one thing could change this: if the influence of institutional capital becomes so great that it forces an early end to the bear market, causing us all to succumb to FOMO :D:D:D

Ondo finance launched tokenized versions of blackrock's ivv and micron stock today, first time US listed securities have been tokenized on a public blockchain using existing US market infrastructure, third party custody and no issuer involvement,built on the framework the sec outlined in jan 2026 and securitize went public on nyse the same day and launched tokenized shares concurrently with its stock debut.

its been seen as breakthrough and is structurally getting tokenized securities to work within existing US market rails without needing issuer sign off which is hard and hasnt been done cleanly before.

But another version of this story thats been running for months is that platforms like bitpanda have had direct access to IVV, micron and 10,000+ other real securities( actual regulated shares) available to retail investors in europe since jan same account with fractional amounts

The tokenization is interesting because it extends access to defi rails and 24/7 settlement but the framing that retail investors havent been able to access these assets is only true in specific jurisdictions and contexts. European retail has had clean regulated access to IVV for years through normal brokers and recently through multi asset platforms that put it next to crypto in one login.

What tokenization actually solves is the composability problem using IVV as collateral in defi protocols, settling cross border in seconds and running it through smart contracts which is diff than retail access to the S&P 500, which was already solved.

I haven’t done any bridging since 2021, and back then it was really stressful and a total pain in the ass. I just want to know what you guys are using these days. I came across Jumper and Debridge, but to swap an altcoin 1 to 1 like Polygon from BNB chain to Polygon chain it always seems to cost 1 to 2%, which I’d rather avoid. Everyone's playing the AI trade through the same door: buy the GPU makers, buy the hyperscalers, buy the power names. Fine, that's the obvious trade and it's already priced.

There's a less obvious layer underneath: someone has to finance all that hardware, and traditional banks are bad at underwriting GPU clusters. No credit history for a lot of these operators, depreciating collateral, no playbook. That's a real gap, not a made-up one, asset-backed lending against capital equipment is a normal thing in every capital-intensive industry, AI compute just doesn't have its version of it yet at scale.

chip is a protocol built on exactly that gap: lending against GPU hardware as collateral, letting compute operators borrow without needing to sell equity or get a bank facility that doesn't exist for them. CHIP is the governance token. The pitch is simple: as AI infra buildout keeps scaling, the demand for this kind of financing scales with it.

Why now: capex from the big AI buildouts keeps getting revised up, not down. That's demand for compute. Compute buildout needs capital. Capital needs a lending market that understands GPUs as an asset class. If that market doesn't really exist yet in scale, whoever builds it early captures a real niche.

So: real gap, real narrative, genuinely tied to rising AI infra spend. Do your own read on the collateral mechanics and the tokenomics before you size it.

I share the same disappointment as most others that they're removing the option of owning physical games. The main complaints I've seen are: licensing (not actually owning the product) and not being able to resale, trade, or let someone borrow a game.

But doesn't blockchain allow for that to happen? People associate NFTs with jpegs. But this is what it's for. Proof of digital ownership and the ability to sell, trade, or lend the digital product as vou wish.

For example, when you buy GTA6, you would own "GTA6#001". Of the millions of copies sold, no one could ever own "GTA6#001" but you until you sold it. It's pro-consumer. So I doubt companies would want that. But I think it makes sense in a world where we seem to be inevitably moving away from physical media.

We could sell and trade on any marketplace without relying on Sony or MF$T and their inflated prices. Or we could trade/sell things directly with each other.

I’m based in Germany and I’m looking for the lowest-cost way to convert USDC (or USDT) into EUR and withdraw it via SEPA.
My priority is the lowest total effective cost (trading fees + spreads + withdrawal fees), not necessarily the simplest workflow.
What setup do you currently use? Kraken Pro? Monerium? ARQ? Coinbase? Something else?
Ideally I’d like to compare how many EUR you actually receive for every €1,000 worth of USDC.

I’ve spent so much time refining a strategy that makes sense to me on bitcoin, I went from having a 57% win rate 1.2:1 ifvg strategy to having a 65% win rate 2:1 candle sweep strategy and I’ve learned all of this just to have maker fees eat through my profitability genuinely giving me negative ev as my stops have to be .1-.5 of price a lot of the times. I have a few options as of now which are switching to CME contacts but now I’m stuck risking 1% when I would like to risk 10% and based on Monte Carlo sims can safely risk that, accepting the fees and only taking setups where my stops are above .5 but that’s such a small amount of setups which are already scarce and still get feed a lot but just less enough to have positive ev, or switch assets and I’ve tried backtesting es and nq but my setups just don’t work for those assets sweeps don’t seem to have enough momentum to hit my take profit on my 15 min entries and the 5 minute is too noisy. I don’t know what my next step should be any advice would really be appreciated except (just risk low anyways), if someone has been in this situation and have found any work arounds or have found other assets that produce strong sweeps and have reliable volume. I’ve genuinely put so much effort into learning this stuff and it just seems like even when I’ve figured it out it was all for nothing.

I’m writing this partly to ask for advice, and partly because this has been a pretty painful experience as a small web3 founder.

I recently launched a project called Earnboard. It’s a campaign and task-reward platform where crypto projects can create campaigns for their communities, review user submissions, track points and leaderboards, and distribute rewards.

It’s not a big company or a funded machine. It’s a small project built from scratch, mainly by me and my wife, based in Brazil. We spent weeks building the platform, polishing the flow, writing documentation, setting up a demo, and trying to give the project a real chance.

We launched recently and created an official X account to introduce the platform, post brand-awareness content, and reach out to a few relevant projects. We don’t have any considerable traction yet. We don’t have partners yet. We were simply trying to introduce a legitimate product to the Web3 space.

Then the account was suspended for allegedly violating X’s rules around authenticity/platform manipulation.

That alone was frustrating, but the harder part is what happened next: our X API access was also disabled. Since Earnboard used X OAuth for user login, users can no longer log in or create accounts. So this is not just about losing a social account. An external platform decision effectively blocked access to our product.

We submitted an appeal, but it was closed without any reply or explanation. We opened another appeal now.

I understand X needs anti-spam and anti-manipulation systems. I understand Web3 has a lot of scams, spam, fake engagement, and bad actors. But it’s very discouraging when a real small project gets treated like one of them without a clear explanation or path to fix it.

As a founder, it hurts. You spend weeks building something real, you finally launch, you start trying to talk to people, and suddenly the platform where your audience lives shuts the door on you. Then the API restriction breaks your login system too.

I’m not trying to attack X. I’m trying to understand what small builders are supposed to do in situations like this.

Any practical advice, experience, or direction would mean a lot.

I keep hearing about 4 year cycle for BTC with many speculators pointing to exact end date of BTC bear market to be 2026 October. As it should follow prior cycles from top to bottom.

This got me thinking- if top to bottom and beginning and end of bear market for BTC was so easily predictable - wouldnt everyone and his brother be multi millionaires? Go long with leverage when "BTC turns into bull market at XYZ date" and start short position towards beginning of bear market based on pre-determined timing.

More importantly - let's say stock market goes into bear cycle starting in 2027. Let's say the AI bubble bursts and Nassaq drops 30-50%. In that hypothetical, I seriously doubt that BTC will be the unique safe haven with its own bull market. Just bc of "end of 4 yr cycle bear".

Typically, the weak gets even weaker when financial markets go south.

Any thoughts or logic on this?

Binance has been banned or restricted from operating in the uk since 2021, when the fca found it wasnt meeting basic registration requirements and had run ins with dutch and belgian regulators around the same period. It pled guilty in the US in 2023 to aml and sanctions violations with over $4 billion in penalties, and its founder did prison time as part of that and now in 2026, its the one major exchange that couldnt get licensed under MiCA while coinbase, bitpanda ,kraken, all did

Individually, any one of these could be regulator being overly cautious with a new industry but stacked up over five years, it stops looking like bad luck and starts looking like a company that keeps failing the exact same category of test proving to regulators that its structure and leadership meet a basic compliance bar.. Its specifically a trust problem, recurring across multiple independent jurisdictions.

something surprising is that none of this has actually dented binance's volume dominance. It's still the largest exchange by a wide margin, in spite of a track record that would sink most companies in most other industries. Which either means crypto users genuinely dont weight this kind of risk very heavily or means theres no real alternative with the same liquidity so people stay regardless.

Small side note its probably not a coincidence that the onchain RWA perps corner like ostium and hyperliquid has been growing precisely in the gap this kind of recurring regulatory risk leaves open coz that doesnt need a specific company to hold a specific license in any country to let keep a position open.

Q: What is this?

A: The BCH and XMR community are experimenting with exposing the naked shorting used by exchanges (famously Binance didn't even report their BCH reserves for a very long time - unlike other major coins). Of course, this is simply another manifestation of attempts to suppress p2p cash as outlined in "Hijacking Bitcoin" book. The idea is to regularly coordinate a day when the community withdraws coins from exchanges to on-chain wallets and suck up all the available liquidity, create an impact on the price & in an extreme case blow up a naked shorting exchange that can't meet its BCH/XMR obligations. Think of it like GME & Wall Street Bets for BCH, or the XMR community has a similar idea called "Monerun". This was discussed on Podcast episode 142 if you want to hear more.

Q: When?

A: Now. Any time during the window 0:00 - 23:59 on bank run day UTC time ideally, but if you miss the window slightly that's fine the day after still works. The bank run repeats on the 1st & 15th of each month.

Q: How do I participate?

A: Buy BCH on any custodial exchange (with any fiat or other crypto) & withdraw to your self custodial wallet. Then like this thread & leave a comment saying you participated. Any exchange that is easiest for you or crypto ATM or even any p2p trade works - as long as you are increasing your BCH held self-custodially then you are contributing to the pressure on custodially held BCH supply (which will naturally flow through the market).

Q: What if I don't use exchanges / all my funds are in BCH already?

A: Great work on living the p2p cash dream! You can still contribute by selling some goods & services on that day in order to increase your self-custodial BCH, as well as make noise on social media to spread the word to others!

Q: If this is predictably repeated & publicly announced, can't people "frontrun" it by selling into our volume?

A: Yes, but that's a win if they do. If BCH & XMR Bank Runs are popular enough to noticeably move the price, it's already working. If it's getting enough attention that new people are getting interested in the ecosystem & think about it regularly - even if they start out as speculators - that's a win. The curiosity of why BCH and XMR are uniquely acting like this will lead them to delve deeper sooner or later.

Q: Anything else I need to know?

A: BCH and XMR both have gained significant ranks in marketcap since this initiative began. Coincidence? Hard to say. Exchanges issues have been plentiful in blocking withdraws. The whole market is obviously a scam, but the good news is that bank runs is one way we can potentially uncover naked shorting activity. Keep an eye on the price & watch the price today & this week to see what happens (or distress among custodial exchanges). I will update this thread with anything I notice.

I’m trying to move my smaller trades away from CEXs to aggregators, but I’m struggling to vet their reliability. CEXs at least have audit histories and proof of reserves, whereas aggregators feel like a black box. I don't want to just blindly trust online reviews.

I’m honestly devastated right now. Early this morning around 03:00, I saw that my Vantage Markets account was accessed without my permission, and when I woke up I saw that all my money was gone.

This is what happened:

• Someone managed to log into my Vantage account while I was asleep.
• All my funds were withdrawn to this wallet: 0x4F9F5AE17A16A8b3205802790b550e6df2D53784
• I’ve never added a crypto wallet, never deposited crypto, never withdrawn crypto. I only ever used Google Play withdrawals.
• I've never clicked any suspicious links and/or share my info

What I’ve already done:

• Contacted Vantage support
• Changed all my passwords

My questions:

• Has anyone experienced something similar with Vantage or any other broker?
• Did anyone ever get their money refunded after an unauthorized withdrawal?
• How should I approach Vantage to maximize the chance of getting my money back?

When we look at past technologies, like the internet, it was revolutionary at the time, but it was really just a network of computers connected by cables, sending data to each other.

Decades later, we got browsers, search engines, online shopping, and eventually companies like Amazon. That’s when the internet became something everyone actually used.

What I’m proposing is that crypto hasn’t yet had that next groundbreaking technology built on top of it.
Think about it. Why should the average person want to use crypto in its current state?

Where are the popular dApps? Why would I transfer my money using crypto when my bank already does it instantly and, for me, for free?

Which is why I think crypto needs another technology built together with it.

Who knows, maybe someone figures out how to rent out their PC or GPU in exchange for tokens that can then be used to pay for AI models. Crypto wouldn’t be the product, it would be the thing powering the system in the background.

But even then, I think that would mostly interest people who are already into tech.

What crypto really needs is its own ChatGPT moment. Something so useful that millions of people use it every day without even caring that crypto is running underneath it.

Maybe cryptocurrency isn’t the final product. Maybe it’s just one piece of a much bigger puzzle.

Bitcoin is facing a $4.4 billion supply overhang, according to new market data.

• Bitcoin ETFs sold around 71,600 BTC this month.
• Corporate treasuries bought only 7,500 BTC.
• Newly mined BTC is adding more supply to the market.

So MSTR has pretty much been the only and the very last institutional buyer of BTC. At a certain point their buys did not pump the price anymore, they just sustained it. Now the party is almost over and the music about to stop. Most here believe that. So obviously when the news comes out that MSRT is saying they are preparing to sell up to a billion dollars worth of Bitcoin, after the price crashed on them just selling 32 BTC.

Well obviously, EVERYBODY here and their grandmothers are expecting the price to crash.

And what do people who think they are smarter than everybody else do when they are a 100% convinced the price of Bitcoin will go down? They open a short on Bitcoin, or gamble on polymarket that the price will go down.

It's free money right? Borrow some Bitcoin now, sell em quickly, then when MSTR crashes the price buy back the Bitcoin you borrowed and give em back, the price difference is pure profit.

Now currently these shorts are not yet in. Give it a week or so, maybe 2. Price will prob slip a bit to 55K or so.

Then when the shorst start piling in .... BOOM massive 11% pump in a single day! 11% is enough to liquidate everybody that used 10x leverage. When that happens their colletoral is used to buy the Bitcoin they borrowed back which pushed up the price even more. Now it's 22% up, now everybody that shorted with 5x leverage gets liquidated. Their colletoral is used to buy the Bitcoin they borrowed and sell back, to give it back. This pushes the price up even more. BTC is up 30% in 20 hours. And some bot actually posted a 67 meme.

Now all posts on r bitcoin and r cryptocurrency are about people who bough the dip and are making fun of the doubters. All the bots asking the people "Did you buy the dip?"

Some people are saying: Haha, I was right to hold. Now BTC is going straight to 200K by Christmas.

FOMO kicks in again. Retail is buying again because Christmas is coming!

And then MSTR sells their first batch of Bitcoin and we go straight to 45K. Now the posts on r/cryptocurrency are about how this was soooo predictable everybody knew it was going to happen (but today I will catch a million downvotes)

And when somebody thinks he is smarter than everybody else once, he will think it again. So this scenario will probably play out 2 or 3 more times ... before Christmas and BTC at 33k.

In comparison with all other top 15 alt rubbish, ADA has lost the most in the last year or so. Any chances of recovery? Any reasons of the dump? Is ADA going to be one of the things of the past like NEO and ZIL etc?

Imagine Bitcoin’s price doesn’t move 1 cent up or down for the next few decades. As of now the have just over 28 years of coverage from their BTC pile. Lets take off 2 years assuming the 4 Bln of net debt has to be paid back, and another 2 for buying back stock trying to get the preferds back to par.

That means in 24 years they are gone, and bitcoin carries on doing what it has been doing for nearly 2 decades.

If the price rises they can keep the show on the road, and if it rises quickly enough they can do this indefinitely. If the price falls this all unravels more quickly.

As long as there are users needing peer to peer money and miners willing to validate and broadcast transactions, Bitcoin goes on forever.

The fact that anyone has the power to make a coin is amazing having huge variety and potential but the community is so dumb its so unpredictable what coin will get traction. For example there’s one coin that’s so funny it will have you in tears laughing and another one thats a tweet saying a semi popular person on X just revealed they have a dog… Guess which one hits 20k market cap in 20 minutes.

Which crypto platform are you migrating to with the new changes?

Im asking because i have no idea, i have used Binance all my life.

Moved back in with the parents back in 2022. Worked and put in $1000 from most paychecks into crypto for about a year. XRP, HBAR, XLM, BTC where my mains. Turned my $2k portfolio into about 20k.

Over the next bull market It went up nearly 600%.
Sold everything back in November close to the Bitcoin peak. I bought some land in a rapidly developing country. Selling that land now for a 50% profit and about to dca everything back into crypto, maybe some metals too.

Hello all. I have to withdraw my assets from Binance since, after July 1st, I won't be able to trade on that platform. I was thinking about putting them on Kraken. BUT.

I already have an (empty) account with them from my early crypto days. I seem to have forgotten that password so clicked the link to get a new one. First issue : I can't create a new password, the website keeps telling me "Unable to create a new password. Please try again.". Yes, I've checked and re-checked, the password is the correct length and complexity and has never been used.

After a good while of looking around the site for help, I haven't found anything. I then found the KrakenSupport subreddit and WTF IS THAT MESS ? Pages and pages of people locked out of their account ? Is that a think with Kraken ? More so than other Exchanges ?

I'm well aware and only have what I use for trading on an Exchange, the rest is in a secure wallet. If BTC keeps dropping, MSTR stock drops harder. When MSTR is down, Saylor can’t sell new shares or preferred stock at good prices to raise cash. But the ~$1.2B/year in preferred dividends still has to be paid regardless. So he’s forced to sell BTC to cover them. Selling 4%+ of total BTC supply into a weak market pushes BTC down further, which tanks MSTR more, which makes the next round of fundraising even worse. Each loop tightens the next one.

He already broke the “never sell” rule on June 1 with 32 BTC. The convertible bond puts hitting in late 2027 and early 2028 could demand $3-4B in cash on top of the dividends, accelerating the whole thing.

I think the majority of us still classify cryptocurrency cycles as bullish and bearish over the past 4 years, when in fact, the cycles are more comparative to bearish and more bearish in my opinion.

I personally think the whole cryptocurrency thing is over, but I think Bitcoin still has a few 500% plus pumps left in it before it finally stays flat or goes down slowly for the next 20 years or so.

My next bet is not if, but when MicroStrategy now Strategy collapses once Bitcoin goes down to a certain threshold, and they can no longer pay the bills they promised to investors. Think FTX, but a 2026 or 2027 version of it.

Once this transpires, expect Bitcoin to go down to around $15,000 to possibly even $10,000 per coin.

When it does happen, I think buying here and riding it back up to $100,000 over the next 3 to 4 years and then selling would be the optimal move in my unprofessional opinion.

I'm just making this post to see if anyone else using a Ledger hardware wallet is unable to connect and sign transactions on desktop with Rabby on Google Chrome.

On the 18th, I contacted Rabby's support through their Discord/GitHub, but I haven't received any proper update other than, "Have you tried contacting Google Chrome support?", which I thought was a pointless question with no follow up questions and It still doesn't work, so I just wanted to see if I'm on my own with this issue.

I like Rabby Wallet, but their support staff are completely useless at relaying serious issues to whoever can actually sort them out.

My Ledger works fine and allows me to connect and sign using Rabby on other browsers and whilst using other wallets, but it only takes issue with Rabby on Chrome.

When I read various discussions, BCH rarely comes up.

I guess BCH isn't a very “trendy” crypto these days, even though it seems solid from a technical standpoint, and its adoption is also strong.

I have been in crypto space since 2018. I saw many OGs at that time quit. Never feel disappointed like now. Even in last bear market when btc hits 10k, I'm still opptimistic. I'm still holding but I'm not buying dip. With the same money, I would rather put into AI stock and hold another 3 years.

I have been shorting small crypto coins that pump hard and then they dump. This has been working good so far the last 4 months with around 300 trades. I wanted to add some more confirmations and therefore asking you if you have any ideas what I can add? If there is some indicator about bag holders selling or tape reading from all crypto exchanges combined?

Whether you’re a fan of crypto or not, it’s obvious that it’s driven by speculative money. Believers in purely the tech are the minority. Put it this way, if BTC never rose past $10, almost none of us would be here. Speculative gain is the fundamental fuel. Without it, everything goes the way of NFTs.

But that fundamental fuel is gone. Speculation has moved to AI. People aren’t waiting 4 years with crypto, when they can get rich in 4 weeks with AI. That’s also why crypto has decoupled from the market and keeps going down no matter how the wider market moves. It’s also why the 4 year cycle isn’t valid anymore.

FTX and previous dips were different. Those dips were fuelled by risk and fear. But risk and fear have never stopped speculators. It’s the reason why they are speculators in the first place. Crypto could recover from those dips because people still wanted to get rich quick, and crypto was the best way.

This time is different because there is a better way for people to be greedy. Crypto is no longer the best way to get rich. Crypto can survive fear, but it cannot survive greed.

And AI isn’t going away. The smartest people and companies in the world are investing trillions in AI for an obvious reason…

Throughout much of 2026, Strategy has relied heavily on the issuance of perpetual preferred shares like STRC to raise billions of dollars to fund the majority of its bitcoin purchases. But that doesn't come without cost.

Those securities carry roughly $1.2 billion in annual dividend obligations, while the company's cash reserves have dipped to around $1.4 billion, according to CryptoQuant.

This has created a negative feedback loop that has put pressure on STRC, which itself hit a fresh low of around $71.40 on Friday before recovering to close at $74.72. That's nearly 26% below its intended $100 par value.

I looked at wallets from 5+ years ago... I have over 10bnb locked up in a contract I set for 40 years (smh I know), I see reminders of all the crypto traders I know who are probably long gone now who used to be friends who I am out of contact with or are probably gone forever, I see all the money (over 100k) destroyed by ftx and sbfs trading against his own customers.

I haven't looked in a long time because it hurts so much.

I'd rather be a crypto noob because then I'd be blissfully ignorant to how brutal things get.

I had a big trump coin wallet that revived me for a bit because I got in early enough but as we all know the melania coin made it draw down. I tried to rebuild again with a hype long but 10/10 destroyed that too.

For the first time ever I have pretty much given up hope in crypto and I've been in it since early 2010s.

I'm not saying it'll never pump again a bit, but I don't think there will ever be another mega bull run for it like we have had in the past. I am pretty much zeroed out and have to become a normie now (and I have nothing to show for resume too). At least it was fun in the moment.

there is the trading aspect, some have made millions and some have lost millions. but outside the trading sphere, what value does it have?
how long is it actually going to be around?

and what about all the shitcoins? are they NFTs all over again?

the best i can understand it, is that it is like kohl’s cash, only traded in one venue.

So, I used to use Drift Protocol for perps trading and ended up “losing” the entirety of my balance after the Drift exploit… I’ve been using Hyperliquid since then but don’t trust it 100%, same deal, you deposit balance into the platform… would you think this is any safer since it doesn’t run on SOL? … thoughts on using Jupiter instead??

Now that Binance didnt got its MICA license on time, its europeans users have to move to other exchanges before 1 July.

Every exchange's name on the table has an hyperlink towards the authority of financial markets of France where you can check where and when they got the license.

If you are not already on any of theses exchange I would suggest one of top 2, Kraken or coinbase.

And if you move the funds, remember to convert everythng to one token (dont use USDT and chose one that is cheap on gas), test a very little transfer first( ALWAYS DO THIS FIRST) and then transfer evverything and then convert it to what you had but now on the new exchange.

Like many people, I've been watching STRC struggle to hold its $100 level.

I believe the mechanism intended to drive the price back to $100 has a design flaw that's causing it to fail to return to $100 target.

There are two types of people in the STRC market — short term dividend arbitragers, and longer-term holders.

The problem is that dividend arbitragers have been driving up supply of STRC to levels higher than the longer-term holders can consume.

Each time an ex-dividend date occurs, dividend arbitragers buy STRC, hold it until the ex-dividend date, and sell it, with the aim of selling for price difference less than the amount they gain from collecting the dividend. They can do this with leverage using their broker's margin, and it has also been possible to double up on monthly dividends by also doing the same trade on SATA (another preferred stock much like STRC) as their ex-dividend dates are different.

Unlike a normal stock, STRC issues new shares directly to buyers at the $100 level, so these dividend arbitragers are causing new shares to be issued in large numbers as they buy in. When they sell on the ex-dividend day, the extra share issuance becomes too much for longer-term buyers to absorb, so the price drives down.

Because new shares are issued at $100, the price never goes over $100, and so there's no market mechanism to destroy demand from arbitragers — they can always buy at $100 as much as they like. In a normal stock, arbitragers would push up the price, making the arb unprofitable, but this doesn't occur in STRC.

Many of these dividend arbitragers will be failing to sell at a profitable price, so they'll be trapped holding shares and trying to sell into buyers entering for the next ex-dividend date to get out of their losing trade. These trapped dividend arb traders make it even harder for the price to return to $100.

The other problem is, Strategy's mechanism for pushing the market back to $100 is likely to make this worse. They can increase the dividend amount to incentivise buyers, but increasing the dividend may incentivise dividend arbitragers more than long-term buyers, as a larger dividend is more appealing and easier to arb, because of the larger spread between $100 and the sale price.

The recent drop in BTC to ~$60k has likely hit sentiment amongst longer-term holders, leading to reduced demand to absorb the excess supply caused by dividend arbitragers triggering ATM issuance of shares.

The current design has the effect of issuing more STRC than the market can bear. Increasing the yield may help temporarily, but as the price returns to $100, dividend arbers are likely to drive up supply again until the $100 level cannot be maintained.

I think Strategy needs to:

• Change the issuance policy to not issue at $100, but at a higher level. This will make dividend arbing harder, as people will be buying high and selling low, making the arb less likely to be profitable. At the moment buyers can always buy at <= $100, which makes the arb much more appealing.
  • Could be graduated, e.g. some issuance at $100 up to a limit, then only at higher levels. As well as disincentivising dividend arbing, this would add value for MSTR holders, as shares of STRC would be selling at a premium (lower yield).
• Increase the dividend rate to daily, like SATA has, which will further reduce the incentive to arb
• Buy back shares to reduce supply to bearable levels, otherwise it seems likely that there will be insufficient demand to return to $100 until a bull market returns

Are we all in for a shock if we are no longer following the four year cycle ?

I have a feeling it's going back up by the end of the year with altcoins pumping.

I tried making this post on the crypto com subreddit, but the mods didn't approve it. I have USD on my crypto.com account that I can't seem to withdraw. I initially deposited USDC, but it converted to USD after sportsbetting. The only withdraw options I see are bank ach. I tried adding my banks, but both were rejected. I've not been able to find an email, chat, or phone number where a human can help me withdraw my money. Does anyone know of a way to withdraw USD from crypto.com? Their AI is no help.

Obviously legislation passed by the US/EU that relates to crypto influences prices, but like what about when these guys aren't doing laws.

The Iran War has affected markets all across the globe in all kinds of industries but it seems to not affect crypto prices at all. And bitcoin crashed recently but I don't see why?

Ive sold everything at 110K and just recently started buying back below 60K. I plan on going more aggressively the lower we go and I believe that we bottom around 40-50K, thats where I will really heavily start buying. There are prices I would beat myself up if I had missed. Buying only BTC ETH and LINK. (70 20 10)

While yes, I dont think we have bottomed, I am more than happy to start accumulating at these prices. No, I dont intend to full portfolio buy, I will gradually start buying each month from now on or the further we go I add more. I see soo many people saying “bitcoin is dead” and wont recover, I think that is because they are sitting on incredibly big losses. Always remember that its a good time to buy when theres blood in the street. We have already dropped 50%. Im only buying with what I can afford to lose so even if we were to HYPOTHETICALLY drop a further 50% it wouldn’t be the end of the world. Heck it would be a buying opportunity (That I hope and pray to be possible - even though its HIGHLY unlikely!)

As of this week, both the Bitcoin Power Law chart and the Bitcoin Rainbow chart (now on its 5th version) have broken through the bottom. Both of them have always grossly overestimated BTC price and underestimated the diminishing returns of each cycle.

Bitcoin cycles have diminishing returns

• Cycle 2: 50x gain
• Cycle 3: 20x gain
• Cycle 4: 3x gain
• Cycle 5 (just ended): 2x gain (1.7x inflation-adjusted)

Returns converted to 4-year CAGR:

• Cycle 2: 170%
• Cycle 3: 110%
• Cycle 4: 32%
• Cycle 5 (just ended): 19% (14% inflation-adjusted)

The current Cycle 6 will likely only have 1.4x to 1.6x, which is roughly 9-12% CAGR. Beyond that, BTC price returns are no better than S&P 500 returns, but with much more risk.

Within a couple of cycles, not only will the S&P 500 have less risk than holding BTC, but the S&P 500 will also have higher returns than holding BTC. A lot of crypto investors are going to leave. So if you think THIS bear market sucks, good luck surviving the next 2 cycles. It's going to be worse.

Saylor designed STRC expecting 30% CAGR for Bitcoin. I hope he's ready for far, far lower returns.

(There is one silver-lining: This diminishing returns analysis is based on cycle highs. The cycle lows for this cycle are still around 30% CAGR as of the start of June 2026, but that's likely because the cycle isn't over yet and we haven't hit the bottom. If BTC falls to $30-40k before the end of this cycle, then the returns will be just as bad as the cycle high predictions.)

For traders in the EU, there's been a lot of chatter about MiCA and its impact on crypto exchanges. A lot of exchanges are either limiting what they offer to European users or pulling out of the region entirely. This puts a lot of capital at risk and users need to be proactive about it.

For those who don't know me, I work in web3 and write content on projects and what's happening in the space.

The exchange Bitpanda is running a campaign that fits this moment and helping out users who may be looking to switch exchanges. They're one of the longer-standing European platforms that's fully regulated and stayed compliant through the MiCA transition, and right now they'll pay you to move assets over. The campaign is called Bring Your Assets. Basically, you transfer your crypto into a Bitpanda account, leave it 30 days, and get 5% back paid in Bitcoin.

Bitpanda is a regulated custodial exchange, so while you won't be able to do anything onchain, if you're a "buy-and-hold" type of investor and want the benefits of a CEX, this is a nice little boost. If you keep everything in self-custody and never touch an exchange, this isn't aimed at you. Where it makes sense is if you already hold balances on exchanges, or your current European venue is one of the ones cutting back, and you'd rather consolidate onto something regulated that isn't going anywhere. Effectively, you're getting paid 5% to move assets.

Some details: The campaign runs from 18 June to 5 July 2026. You transfer crypto into your Bitpanda account through the app or website during that window, and it needs to stay there for 30 days. Everyone who qualifies gets 5% cashback paid in Bitcoin on the amount they bring over. The first 1,000 participants who move €1,000 or equivalent lock in €50 in BTC, which is that same 5% shown as a round number. Cashback is credited by 30 July 2026. It's open to fully verified users in selected European countries, with the full list on the campaign page (https://www.bitpanda.com/en/campaigns/bya-june-26).

MiCA is going to keep separating the platforms that did the regulatory work from the ones that didn't, and EU users are going to keep consolidating toward the compliant ones. Bitpanda paying to accelerate that is a smart use of the moment. If you were already going to hold on an exchange, 5% in BTC to pick a regulated one is a reasonable deal.

Note: While I did my due diligence and there's no obvious risk with Bitpanda collapsing, I obviously can't guarantee that. Please make sure you are familiar with the risks associated with custodial accounts. Bitpanda has been around for quite some time and has never had any issues. Hello everyone,

I'm sharing my experience because I hope it helps others avoid what happened to me, and because I genuinely believe this case raises important questions about how cross-border P2P disputes are handled.

I have used Binance for about five years and completed many P2P trades without major issues. I understand the platform's rules, and I'm not here to claim that I did everything perfectly.

Unfortunately, one trade changed everything.

I opened a P2P order to buy 12.93 ETH (around €40,000).

During the order, the seller told me inside the Binance chat that his bank account was blocked and asked me to pay through Payeer instead. He personally sent me the Payeer account details in the official Binance order chat.

Believing I was following the seller's own payment instructions, I completed the payment immediately and uploaded full proof.

Instead of releasing the ETH, the seller later claimed that his account had been hacked and that the money had gone to someone else.

At that moment I realized this was no longer an ordinary P2P dispute.

I immediately reported the case to the Turkish Cyber Crimes Prosecutor's Office.

The prosecutor officially opened an investigation and issued a written order instructing Turkish cyber police to contact Binance through official law-enforcement channels and request that the disputed crypto remain frozen during the investigation.

From that point on, I believed the legal process would be allowed to continue.

Unfortunately, that never happened.

I personally visited the cyber police office four different times asking whether Binance had been contacted. Every visit ended with the same answer: "Come back later."

Eventually I was simply told to leave.

While I was waiting for the authorities to complete their part of the process, Binance closed the dispute.

Later Binance informed me that Vietnamese law enforcement had contacted them on behalf of the seller, but they had received nothing from Turkey.

As a result, Binance released all 12.93 ETH back to the seller.

The seller immediately withdrew the assets.

My money was gone.

I want to be completely honest about one important point.

Yes, I made a mistake.

I paid to the Payeer account that the seller sent me inside the Binance order chat instead of using the payment account shown on his Binance profile.

I fully accept responsibility for making that mistake.

I am not asking anyone to ignore Binance's rules or excuse my error.

What has been extremely difficult for me to accept is what happened afterward.

Once a criminal investigation had officially started, and Binance had been informed that legal proceedings were underway, I genuinely believed the disputed assets would remain frozen until law enforcement had a reasonable opportunity to communicate with Binance.

Instead, the case was finalized before my country's authorities ever managed to send their request.

That decision meant I permanently lost 12.93 ETH.

This has been financially devastating for me.

I am not sharing this to attack Binance or ask strangers for sympathy.

I am sharing it because I believe users should know how vulnerable they can become when a dispute involves multiple countries and communication between authorities is delayed.

If nothing else, I hope my experience encourages discussion about whether disputed assets should remain frozen when a documented criminal investigation is already in progress but international communication has not yet been completed.

I have retained all evidence, including payment records, Binance chat logs, prosecutor documents, timestamps, and correspondence.

Instead of releasing the ETH, the seller later claimed that his account had been hacked and that the money had gone to someone else.

At that moment I realized this was no longer an ordinary P2P dispute.

I immediately reported the case to the Turkish Cyber Crimes Prosecutor's Office.

The prosecutor officially opened an investigation and issued a written order instructing Turkish cyber police to contact Binance through official law-enforcement channels and request that the disputed crypto remain frozen during the investigation.

From that point on, I believed the legal process would be allowed to continue.

Unfortunately, that never happened.

I personally visited the cyber police office four different times asking whether Binance had been contacted. Every visit ended with the same answer: "Come back later."

Eventually I was simply told to leave.

While I was waiting for the authorities to complete their part of the process, Binance closed the dispute.

Later Binance informed me that Vietnamese law enforcement had contacted them on behalf of the seller, but they had received nothing from Turkey.

As a result, Binance released all 12.93 ETH back to the seller.

The seller immediately withdrew the assets.

My money was gone.

I want to be completely honest about one important point.

Yes, I made a mistake.

I paid to the Payeer account that the seller sent me inside the Binance order chat instead of using the payment account shown on his Binance profile.

Several major cryptocurrency lending companies collapsed during the 2022 market downturn, setting off a domino effect across the industry. The highest-profile failures include:

BlockFi: Filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in November 2022 after the collapse of FTX, which had previously extended a credit line to keep the lender afloat.

No body know how solvent Nexo is as a crypto lender. They could be 100% legit and 100% solvent.

But if they are not 100% solvent (like Celsius, Voyager, Blockfi, Genesis), without a Mica license, all who use Nexo in the EU will need to leave and taking their crypto with them.

That will be a stress test for them.

Binance withdrew its Greek MiCA application June 24, after Greek regulators reportedly flagged concerns over corporate structure. From July 1 they're suspending new orders, deposits, signups, and Earn/staking for EU users. Only ~200 firms had MiCA licences as of May 2026 out of 1,200+ that had national registrations pre-MiCA. Conversion rate under 18%.

This is going to keep happening. Curious what people are doing with EU holdings, moving to a licensed CEX, going full self-custody, or just waiting it out since withdrawals aren't affected.

I’m reading all of the FUD. EVERYWHERE. And I want to start this rant off with, THATS WHY YOU INVEST WHAT YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOSE. I am a BTC holder and ETF holder. If this drops more I’ll eventually be a MSTR holder.

My question is are we in a crypto winter or is this the grand finale? I thought it was understood that BTC operates in a 4yr cycle? Well, technically, isn’t that where we are now?

However, there’s a lot of people talking about how crypto is done. I’m hearing Institutions are involved so it’s manipulated. Or the US government has gone after all of the people who used crypto for bad so now all of those corrupt contributors are scared.

If your anything like me you got into BTC because of the foundation of sovereign money, giving the power back to the people, my keys my bitcoin. And if that’s you, then hold on. So the deadline's basically here (July 1) and I keep going back and forth on how much it actually changes for me day to day.

For the people who don't follow the EU stuff: after the 1st, exchanges without a MiCA license can't legally serve EU users. The number that got me was something like 210 of ~3,000 firms actually cleared it. Even Binance is apparently still sorting its license out after the Greece thing stalled.

What I can't tell is how hard the cutover actually bites. Like is it "your account is gone July 1," or a slow thing where pairs quietly disappear and withdrawals get clunky over a few months? I've seen people claim both and I don't know who's right.

I already pulled most of my stack to a hardware wallet a while back so I'm not too worried about the holding part. Hey everyone, so today I was approached by someone working at the grocery store, who was doing an instacart shopping order.

He asked if I know about "redplugging" with crypto. I tried to clarify if he meant "rugpull" but he said no, that it was a new technique to make $.

He said he would wire money to my account to buy a certain crypto, and then it would skyrocket and I could sell.

My friend believes it's a scam, but is addicted to the get rich quick mentality, so he wants to find out more about it.

My friend told me: This guy will wire the money to your account, then will instruct you to buy a specific shit coin that he is a whale in. Then he will steal your liquidity, and a few days later the bank will start calling asking for this money back since the wired money was fake.

I'm curious if anyone has ever dealt with this. My friend really wants me to stay away from it, but I really want to see if it's legitimate.

This may be a dumb question, but I’m having trouble resolving this.

Primarily I’m looking at a Solana gaming project, the gist of it is:
- token gates playing said game
- the token acts as an in-game economy
- in game efforts are rewarded with the token
- there’s a gambling mechanic where you use said tokens to get items, half is burned, half is sent to treasury
- the token is being openly framed as appreciating with growth

This entire game is essentially an unregistered investment contract. Now my issue is, theres a lot of these games being openly developed and being speculated on X. No one is talking about the fact that this is illegal. I couldn’t find a single post reflecting said sentiment on X. Instead, people are speculating on these games and more of them are coming out.

Why is this the case? Where is the enforcement? Is there some sort of loophole these games are using?

What happened

The Arbitrum DAO passed a proposal to "minimize" Arbitrum Nova. That means Nova isn't being shut down, but it's being moved into a maintenance-only state with reduced infrastructure, slower support, and stricter rate limits. Data availability shifts to Ethereum L1 blobs, and most service-provider contracts get deprecated.

The short version: the chain keeps existing, but you should not plan to keep anything important on it.

The timeline

• June 4 – September 2, 2026: 90-day migration window. Everything stays fully operational. This is when you move your tokens.
• After September 2: Nova drops to a minimized state. Bridging is still possible, but with less support and potentially fewer fast-bridge options available.

You can technically still migrate after the deadline (the Arbitrum Canonical Bridge stays accessible through the Arbitrum Portal), but you'll have fewer tools and slower help. Don't wait.

How to migrate your MOON

There is no direct path to move MOON from Nova to Arbitrum One through the official Arbitrum Portal. You have two routes:

Option A: Canonical route (via Ethereum)

1. Move MOON from Arbitrum Nova to Ethereum via the Arbitrum Portal.
2. Wait through the ~7-day challenge/confirmation period, then claim the token on Ethereum.
3. Bridge MOON from Ethereum to Arbitrum One via the Arbitrum Portal.

This is the slower route, but it doesn't depend on third-party liquidity.

Option B: MoonBridge (direct Nova → One)

moonbridge[.]cc bridges MOON directly between Arbitrum Nova and Arbitrum One (it also supports Ethereum and Gnosis). It's a 1:1 token bridge that I made for the CCMOON DAo, not a swap, so there's no price impact or slippage on your MOON.

The one thing to watch is destination liquidity. If your transfer is larger than the available liquidity on the destination side, the portion that can't be filled is refunded (the fee on refunds is 1%, same as the 1% fee on fulfilled amounts, plus a relayer fee). For larger holdings, check the destination liquidity shown in the interface and split into smaller transfers if needed.

Bottom line

Move your MOON during the June 4 – September 2 window while everything still works smoothly. MoonBridge gives you a direct Nova → One path if liquidity covers your size; the canonical route through Ethereum always works but takes 7+ days. The Arbitrum Canonical Bridge will keep working after the window closes, but support and bridging options get thinner once Phase 3 kicks in.

• QuadrigaCX (2018): the CEO died and the company claimed he was the only one who could access the cold wallets, so ~CAD 169M was supposedly stuck. Then the auditors looked, and the wallets had been empty for eight months before he died. The Ontario regulator called it a Ponzi.
• 2022, the whole cascade: Three Arrows Capital (a hedge fund) over-leveraged itself into the ground and defaulted on the lenders that were funding it with customer deposits. Celsius, Voyager, BlockFi, and Genesis went down behind it inside about eight months. The "earn yield on your crypto" products had been lending those deposits into that leverage the entire time.
• FTX (2022): roughly $8B hole, customer funds routed to Alameda, SBF got 25 years. One detail worth knowing if you had money there: the estate is repaying creditors over 100%, but in dollars valued at the November 2022 petition date, when BTC was around $16k. It later ran past $90k, so the recovery measured in actual coins is far below what people lost.

The annoying part is how little it changes from one to the next. The deposits were never just sitting there, you had no way to verify the custody, and when it broke you were an unsecured creditor in a bankruptcy instead of someone who owned coins.

We have to talk about the other side too, because "just self-custody" isn't free advice. You need exchanges to actually buy and sell. Lose your seed phrase and there's no support line and no court to recover it. Some people are genuinely better off with a regulated, insured custodian.
