All of those posts about Bitcoin Whales "waking up" with X amount, are just usually BS and have literally 0 importance for the market.

Especially in the recent days, but also generally, you could always find at least one post on this that is about a "Dormant wallet" that just woke up with several thousands or even just hundreds of Bitcoin. Then we usually just joke about that, but there are obviously also instances where some may actually think that this has any effect on the market.

I think we should all be aware here that those posts are literally just clickbaity BS and have literally zero effect on anything. Firstly, a wallet with hundreds or even thousands of BTC waking up can not cause any havoc in the market. Even at its lowest days we have a 31k BTC daily trading volume and finding a wallet that just gets reactivated with the same or more is highly unlikely.

Secondly, usually we do say that it is probably just some person that got out of jail, but it is much more likely that those are wallets by one and the same whale. It often seems like people here keep forgetting that one person can have several wallets in Crypto, so just looking at wallet numbers is often likely to misinterpretation of the situation.

This should not be a post about shitting on you all for joking on those whale posts, because I obviously do that myself. But please do not think that they have any slightly significance to the market.
