I moved from CBA to UBank (NAB) as CBA insisted on holding my payments for 24 hours or outright refused to release them as per their ridiculous anti-scam measures. I was going okay for the first 15 or so payments with UBank and then bang, instant payID payments stopped being instant. The first hold was about 15 minutes, the second a couple days after became a day and now I've decided to try one last time. It has been 2 days and the money is not in my exchange account.
I'm so fucking pissed off. I have called them on every single occasion a hold has happened. The first time they told me I could just call them to have the funds released because "sometimes the payments are held and need to be released by some team" and now they've told me that "sometimes we have system delays/ issues" that cause the supposed instant Osko payments to take the regular 1-2 business days to land. It makes no sense. They can't keep their story straight, and there's no good explanation on their part for these consistent delays.
The lady over the phone opened a complaint for me after I told her the previous customer service rep gave me a completely different explanation for these delays. I don't expect anything to resolve in my favour. I just want my money so I can close my account and leave.
It says on the NAB website "With Osko Payments funds are available in under 60 seconds". This was true the first 15 times. Now I'm on a hot streak of that being completely false.
I've already opened another bank account while I wait for my funds to land. Nice one UBank.
