I was wondering if NFTs that are minted directly on the Ethereum blockchain (as opposed to cheaper chains such as Polygon, Solana, Avalanche, etc.) are perceived by the crypto art community as "higher quality." I mean that in this sense:
- Since gas fees are expensive, artists have to be more selective about which works they decide to mint, leading to higher perceived quality.
- Since the Ethereum blockchain has been around the longest and is perceived as being the most secure and having the greatest assumed future longevity, the value of the NFT is more likely to be preserved than on other smaller chains that may come and go.
This is just an intuitive guess I have, but I don't know if anybody else really thinks this way about either point. Curious to hear your thoughts.
