With Ukraine now added to the list, Bitcoin has consistently proven itself to be a powerful force for good in the world.
I know that there are many smart people here. While El Salvador is a great start, let's discuss how/where/when we build Bitcoin City, USA.
My thoughts:
Create a short list of small existing towns in bitcoin friendly states with bitcoin friendly local governments
State must already have no or very low capital gains taxes
Town must have access to large amounts of undeveloped land
Easy access to renewable and/or cheap energy sources (like flare gas, wind, solar, geothermal, etc)
State must have small population so that bitcoiners who move there have proportionally larger voice in state and local governance
Urban plan the crap out of it
Globally crowdfund the infrastructure and best human capital
Create the first truly circular bitcoin economy in the United States
Watch other states/towns/countries follow
What are your thoughts? Is this doable? What are the barriers? Serious replies only please. I have time and money and am happy to invest both to make this happen. Maybe I'm wrong, but I suspect there are many here and elsewhere who feel the same way.
