Let me preface this by saying please bear with me; I'm a novice at best when it comes to understanding how blockchain technology actually works even tho I've used crypto for years now.
The issue I'm having is that none of my bitcoin transactions are processing anymore other than becoming indefinitely stuck on pending. This just started happening about a week or so ago. Here's an example transaction you can view with any block explorer: 0116e1c494130e1949280aeba946363d65e0a9981796bdaa888d7153dabdadda
What stands out about that transaction is that it has a relatively high fee (the fee for high priority at the moment is about 24sat/vb and that transaction's fee was almost 40sat/vb). So I know it has nothing to do with the speeds I'm setting for these transactions. The next thing that stood out to me about the transaction above is that it has two inputs and both inputs show to be from my wallet address. One is for the approximate balance of my wallet (at that time), the other was for $0.23.
Checking the input for $0.23 reveals this transaction: 98c6b34baef7aa610642bab95c9daa4b129e85777ca2960ef81e75f70fb04e42
After reviewing that transaction, it became apparent that it has a fairly low fee rate (5.83sat/vb). The problem is I have no idea what this transaction is, who it came from, why it came to me (among the other 80+ wallet addresses that also received similarly tiny deposits). Atomic Wallet support pointed out that I could cancel the transaction or increase its fee, but they were wrong on both suggestions; since I didn't initiate the transaction, I can't double-spend to cancel or increase its fee to speed it up. The transaction also doesn't support RBF anyway.
So is there seriously no way around this? If 20 BTCs were sent to my wallet right now, I'd seriously be unable to send $5 somewhere because of a pending $0.23 input? Why can't I send without utilizing that pending input? Or why can't I reject it/return to sender since it's stuck? There has to be a way to get it unstuck, no? If there isn't, I'll just get a new wallet address I guess. I'm not that concerned over the actual bitcoin cause it was a small amount less than $100.. but I would like to figure it out. I'll even send a small tip to anyone who can help me resolve the issue.
