I'm an idiot and need to read the fine print and pay attention to warnings. I should be more careful. I understand that now.
But also...I trust reputable companies and that trust extends to their partners. A partner of Gemini has let me down in a big way. So instead of trying to read the fine print of every company they promote/partner with, I'll just not use Gemini at all anymore. Gemini is tainted by this even though they try to distance themselves.
Example in the real world. Amazon had trouble with crappy/imitation products. Yes, I should have examined the companies I bought from off Amazon. Amazon realized this is a problem and took care of their customers. If they hadn't I'd just start buying from someone else. If Gemini cannot fix this problem with Genesis and take care of their customers then I'll just stop using them. That is how it works.
When I go to the Gemini website I see they have four tabs up top: Home, Market, Grow, Card, Portfolio. Obviously I can no longer trust Grow. If I cannot trust Grow then why would I trust a card from Gemini? I assume they partner with an entity that is not Gemini for their card? I'm also greeted with an advertisement to stake ETH. Why would I trust Gemini with ETH, I'm sure there will be also a lot of fine print there as well.
Solution? Well, in the real world I'd just stop using the company completely unless they can correct this terrible situation.
Am I way off thinking this way? Thoughts?
