Help me Please!!!

So I sent BTC from Cash App to a Gaming Account. When Cash App sent the notification saying the transaction was complete I checked my account. They said not only had it not been credited but they didn’t have an address that coincided with the one I copied and pasted and sent it too. To sum it up not savvy on BTC at all and I know it’s all about anonymity. I would think there would be a way to track it to an owner. Is it possible? Is there anything I can do.! Even if recovery isn’t possible I’d still like to know who it ended up with!
