I have been using a multisig wallet for cold storage for my business.
2 of 3 multisig with Ledger Nano, ColdCard Mk4, and Bitbox02.
I needed to move some bitcoin and decided to use this as a training experience for my wife. I had issues with the Bitbox02 connecting to Sparrow. I had to unplug it 2 or 3 times and re-enter the passcode. Sparrow kept showing errors. Even once connected it took several attempts to sign the transaction. I wrote it off to the Bitbox being "janky."
I used the ledger at a different location and it kind of went into a loop once I connected it to Sparrow to sign the transaction. It kept saying something about "Registering multisig" and I'd have to scroll through the pub keys for each device. It did this 2 or 3 times and wouldn't sign the transaction. I had to disconnect and rescan for signing devices in Sparrow. It took a long time but eventually worked. Sparrow labeled it "Coldcard" though in the area it marked as "signed."
I reviewed the transaction and broadcast it. Everything worked fine.
My wife said "I thought you said this was easy..." and walked away obviously not trusting the whole bitcoin paradigm.
Anyone else have these kind of problems?
I've done multisig transactions before with no issues. Kind of frustrating it happened when showing my wife how "easy" it is...
