How to bridge from ETHERUM to Matic network

Free bridge from ETH mainnet to POLYGON/MATIC mainnet

I’m going to keep making this thread until everyone in the community realizes how to bridge funds over from ETHERUM mainnet to Matic mainnet for FREE. I have nothing to gain in this except to educate people here.

Skip the comments about my grammar and steps being hard to follow and focus on the actual procedure. I’ll try my best to keep it simple.

***Here we go***

Few assumptions here. I’m Canadian. So I’m using Canadian platforms. Also assuming you have metamask setup with ETHERUM mainnet and Matic mainnet.

Easiest method

Use paytrie and send funds directly from your bank account to the polygon network via etransfer. There is a $5 fee and minimum $100 usdc. Make sure you select usdc on polygon network. Steps are pretty simple to follow. I’ll move to free method now.

The Hard Way

1. By the cheapest way possible move your funds in usdc or dai to your metamask ETHERUM mainnet.

While still being on your ETHERUM mainnet

1. Head over to SportX website in DuckDuckGo. Click deposit. Bridge. And move over your usdc and dai minimum $100 over to polygon network for free. Wait 7-8

2. After the transaction is done, you can switch network from ETHERUM to Matic. Make sure to add usdc and dai as a token and your balance will show there.

3. It’s honestly that simple. You don’t have to use the sportx app for anything else but I’m a bettor so I use this function a lot to transfer money on polygon for free
