I shouldn’t have ever mentioned crypto to my family.

Basically what the title says. At first everything was great. I would sit and talk with my father about how to get involved into crypto and first suggested BTC and ETH. He threw a few hundred in to each and I told him to just hold and ignore it for the most part. I also explained to him that I invest too and I just throw a few bucks in every week, like 20-30, and suggested he do the same. This was around the Covid crash so obviously our returns grew very quick. Now that everything is at where it is currently, I hear from both my father and mother about why I should be putting my money somewhere else. He ended up cashing everything out down near the current bottom for a profit of like only like 3k dollars. Yea it’s profit and whatever but they ended up telling their neighbors about it too and the last time I visited one of the neighbors came over and even mentioned it to me. My father talks with people at work who have “inside information” about up and coming cryptos and he decided to invest in those instead, like SHIB and similars. I advise him to just trust the process and keep doing what he was doing years ago but he doesn’t trust my advice anymore to the point where I can’t even talk to him about the stock market either. Eh oh well I guess.
