Is it necessary to stay hidden in the web3 space?

I see so many people, (except reddit, like it's obvious to stay hidden on reddit) but I see so many people on Twitter and other social media platforms who do not reveal their identity, they just post stuff related to web3, nfts and crypto without revealing who they are.

For example, the founder of degods, frank who hasn't revealed who he is since so long, and so many creators supporting degods don't reveal who they are.

Also, the creators of bored ape yacht club, garga and Gordon goner remained anonymous and wished to remain anonymous until their identity was revealed.

So, is it really necessary to remain anonymous in this space?
