Is there any coins to invest long term or Option?

Someone told me that aside from Bitcoin, I should ignore any other coins since it's not worth it.

I do have already plan for long term Bitcoin (not for trading short term. Option may be considered). What I'm curious is aside from Bitcoin, what coin do you guys think have potential?

Btw, please don't share because you listen from someone promoting in threads which I see lots of people say "buy this, thank me later". It just raises suspicion to me.

I want to hear your opinion instead :)
