Making over 10k moons in a month!

I looked at the latest distribution of moons and seen the list “karma” some people maxed out at 10975, is this the amount of moons those individuals received? If so how the hell did they get so much and why is it maxed at that amount?

I got just under 100 but I’m not too active on this subreddit, when I seen such ridiculous amounts being handed out it’s certainly making me want to be more active.

If people could make so many moons just for shit posting on a Reddit, is there really any future in it other than a cool gimic for this subreddit. I love the idea behind and it’s certainly making me lurk and come more often to this subreddit but I’m unsure if it will ever have any value to it.

As I said I am a bit of a lurker and certainly pretty new to the whole crypto scene, I need to do a lot of learning before I fully understand it all so sorry if this is pretty basic questions, just trying to understand everyone’s views on it.
