Question on (USA) Traditional Retirement Investing & Bitcoin…

What is the HODL / Full-send bitcoin-er’s response to some of the traditional investing world’s top personalities - IE: Buffet, Munger, Pabrai, etc.?

Additional question, what is the purpose of bitcoin for you; Store of Value (like a commodity), currency replacement, or something else?

I’m 29 with a job that enables me to max out a traditional 401K and 2 Roth IRAs (1 for my wife & 1 for me). For the sake of not driving myself crazy I’ve basically stuck to a soft-Boglehead method in order to avoid constant emotional distress on “stock go up, stock go down”.

I’ve bought and sold bitcoin a few times since 2019. However, I haven’t held any bitcoin for over a year now. Now that their is institutional acceptance through the ETFs, I’ve been reading more & watching long format videos on bitcoin over the last few months. The most compelling content I see has come from Saylor - however, the content he features in is so compelling that I’m finding my “too good to be true” senses tingling. This feeling seems to fall in line with what some of those more famous traditional investors say.

I’m still refreshing and getting some more knowledge since the space, tech, exchanges, etc have continued to evolve since I first got into it.

At this point, I’m mostly viewing bitcoin as a store of value. As I just don’t see (or maybe don’t understand) the way it replaces fiat. I’m considering the idea of DCA until it hits 5-10% of my retirement portfolio value, as my risk tolerance can withstand that money being lost (worst case scenario). However, I’m not sure at this point if I’m buying bitcoin to “hold forever” or if I’m buying it because I just want the “gains” I’ve been seeing over its initial 15 year period…

I guess a follow up question to all of this is how are folks that are traditionally investing AS WELL buying BTC, feelings and going about their diversification?

How are folks that don’t traditionally invest at all anymore feeling and why don’t they hold any value in any sort of traditional investing.
