So reddit has now enabled transferring of avatars on android, simply by entering another reddit username.
This is great for user experience, but it did get me thinking. This is initiating a blockchain transfer on Polygon.
However, maybe I'm misremembering, but I don't think I was asked to approve the transaction at the time of transfer, which I normally would have to do on a standard blockchain transfer.
Does this therefore mean that reddit also has access to approve transactions etc from our reddit vaults, so reddit has access to and we effectively share our seed phrase with reddit?
In which case, if you own multiples of the avatars, it would seem best practice to me to transfer out all but the ones you intend to use on reddit over to one of your own, fully controlled by yourself wallets.
