Hello everyone,
I am new to Bitcoin but have spent a lot of time over the last few weeks learning about it.
I had already invested $2000 at the start of the year when bitcoin was worth $22,000. Today I have a lot of savings aside ($120,000), currently invested in public funds with a very low 1.5%-2% annual interest and would like to go all-in in bitcoin with this money.
This money represents several years of savings. I don't need this money today and my debts are already paid. The idea would be for me to be able to buy in a few years (2-3-4 years horizon) a bigger house thanks to potential gains on Bitcoin (I will obviously not sell my Bitcoin if they ever lose 50% of their value in the coming months).
I'm afraid that with the release of the Blackrock Bitcoin ETF, we won't see Bitcoin below $40,000 again. So I want to "lump sum" because I feel like I don't have time for DCA anymore. Also, I don't know if I will want to DCA if Bitcoin continues to rise too much, which pushes me even more to want to do lump sum (I kind of have this "FOMO" fear).
I find a lot of Youtubers quite βbullishβ regarding Bitcoin, most of them talk as if it were 100% sure that a new Bull Run was inevitably going to take place in 2024-2025. On the other hand, other YouTubers (like DataDash who talks about a coming recession and which will be bad for Bitcoin) manage to make me doubt this investment.
Do you think that investing these $120,000 all at once now, with a withdrawal horizon in a few years, is a good idea?
Sorry for the mistakes, English is not my native language.
Thanks for your help !
