I've been seriously considering doing this, today I called a credit union and they estimated 8.9% apr. I did the math if I buy Bitcoin at around 65k ill need it to go to 85k to break even. I'm planning to hold onto it until 2029 or 2030 and then using the profit as a downpayment on a house- or I might use the Fannie mae loan and put it up as collateral and retain the Bitcoin. I've been looking at tons of estimates on where Bitcoin will be - bitbo, reddit, chat gpt, friends, anything I can find. My general conclusion is that it will be somewhere between 150 and 240k in 2029-2030. What are peoples thoughts on this plan? Where do people think Bitcoin will be at this time? Does anyone predict Bitcoin just flat out dies- if so how? I feel like worst case scenario it hovers around 70k for 4 or 5 years before spiking up in which case id just have to keep holding onto it. I truly believe that with enough time it will just eventually go up though. I currently own a out 0.3 Bitcoin but with this loan I'm looking at 0.75 and over the next few years I'll probably invest EVEN MORE into just to get to a whole coin.
