The degeneracy so of many crypto communities

Hey fellow crypto enthusiasts, I would like your opinion on something. I've been part of a small crypto community of enthusiasts, or so it was supposed to be in the beginning. All the Info was free and open to everyone, however the admins of the discord community decided they wanted to be "serious", so they decided to implement paid membership and exclusive rooms only for paying members, "technical analysis" "consulting" and other garbage services.

I do not want our community to end up becoming just another crypto server with nfa disclaimer, and people actually losing money while the admins get paid from memberships.

Isn't it part of the crypto ethos for all the info to be free and open source and not to be financially driven ?

As a result I have decided to leave the server even though I'm one of the oldest members of the community

The country where I come from most people are poor and looking to crypto to make money quickly they don't care about tech they are a flock of sheep ready to blow up the wallet on the next pump and dump while the members of the community most probably will sell their bags on them.

Have you noticed this happening to your respective communities or you just don't care ?
