The greatest way to get friends and family into crypto is to give them some. A little taste and most people are hooked.

For most people who are not into crypto, the major hurdle that is in front of them is simply not owning any. For some reason there is an invisible wall where people feel they want crypto but it also feels it is too much effort to become involved with it and out of their reach. Suddenly when they have a little crypto, they feel much more comfortable and dive in. This does not apply to everyone of course, but I've personally seen it work many times. For birthdays I usually like to gift some ETH to people although I have also given ADA and ERG. And like clockwork when people first get the gift they are a little hesitant, and then a week later they are blowing up my phone with questions about crypto in general and how to get involved with it more. So if you plan on getting birthday gifts for others, consider crypto. If you REALLY like the person, instead of an online wallet you can give them their crypto on a Ledger or Trezor.
