What does the market look like if the hope of a life changing 10-100X coin fades away? Does liquidity dry up when the millions of people investing $1,000 to $5,000 come to the conclusion that crypto isn't going to make them rich?
There's an estimated 300 million people that own crypto. With crypto's total market cap being around $1T, that's only an average $3,333 per user share.
Perhaps this shift in investor psychology is what pushes people back into BTC/ETH and takes us to the bottom of the bear market. Instead of looking for the next golden egg, people resign to the blue-chip cryptos with a resolve to earn a more realistic 2-10X with much less risk.
It's estimated that $28 billion has been lost to crypto rug pulls and scams. When more people give up on taking these risks, the opportunistic sharks will swim away. Hopefully, creating the reset needed to relaunch the next cycle.
