I've been reading the UniSwap Docs to try to get a better understanding of how those protocols work (I am new to this). I found the docs for the protocol version 1 to be very easy to follow. Docs for protocol version 3 are very well written, but the protocol itself is more complex and therefore more difficult (in my opinion) to understand. I like having a functional understanding of things before I use them, so I don't feel ready to use UniSwap V3 for now (but I'm sure I'll get there), but I would feel comfortable using UniSwap V1.
All of that being said, here are my questions for the community. Do people, in 2024, still use UniSwap protocol V1 given that V2 and V3 are probably regarded as superior iterations? Does anyone know what is the market share of each UniSwap protocol version (i.e., V1, V2, and V3) relative to one another in 2024? I'm also curious to know if such information is available on a "per network" basis.
Thanks! :)
