What to invest in 2022? A guide for those new to cryptomarket.

Before we start let me set some ground rules.

1. I will not pinpoint exactly which coin to buy but rather what to look for and why.

2. I don't give a damn whether you buy something or not. Market is much bigger than the traction this post gonna get.

3. I have fantom, BTC, ETH, USDC and few small risky projects myself. Telling this to solve any conflict of interest problem right away.

Now to the main question. What to buy in 2022?

1. Old gods! : You can't go wrong with BTC and ETH. They are safe bets for anyone who wants to invest for long term.

Risk category: low

1. Solid L1 projects: those are include, but "not limited" to , SOL , BNB , LUNA , ALGO, DOT , Hedera , fantom, ATOM, XTZ , AVAX, ADA (this last one gonna piss some people off). These are hit and miss investments. They might go +1000% or -300%(looking at you ADA). But in a long run they are usually safe if you don't buy high.

Risk category: medium

1. exchange tokens: CRO , FTT , HT (Huobi) and others... Crypto exchanges are getting bigger and bigger and their tokens usually are good investment. For one you know they actually connected to a working and profiting enterprise. I mean who gets all the money we lose? Right?

Risk category: low

1. DeFi exchange tokens: UNI, CAKE, SUSHI. don't get discouraged by their names! If US federal reserve goes ahead with regulations DeFi exchanges might boom in popularity.

Risk category: above average

1. ETH L2 solutions: as ETH is here to stay , at least for the time being, L2 projects on it are booming in popularity and market cap and they just gonna grow more in 2022 if current trend continues. Examples: LRC , MATIC , CELR

Risk category: medium

1. NFT related: apparently they gonna be a thing. I mean a big thing. I don't get it and I will not invest in it but people much more well-versed than me, saying they have a huge future ahead! And guess what. They are at the beginning of their road so it might go sideways or to the moon!!

Examples: OMI

Risk category: high

1. Metaverse projects: you most likely heard about metaverse taking over real world if you are not living in a cave or something. And I believe they will. This I guarantee. What I can't guarantee is that any of the current projects gonna go big. Technology (specially hardware) is still a little behind and extremely expensive. Still you can do your own research and invest in them. You might even get lucky and score jackpot! Try find one with less than a billion market cap.

Examples: SAND , ATLAS, BLOK , HERO

Risk category: very high!

Remember, more risk means more reward.
