What's Best Bitcoin Security Setup?

I want to graduate from my old cold wallet as I'm getting uncomfortable with "too many eggs in one basket", I'm not new to Bitcoin so I'm looking for the 201 course on multisig (where to host it, what configuration, etc.) I understand that I can put 24 copies of the same book in 24 safety deposit boxes around the world and encrypt the order of seed words with a cypher known only to me and get maximum security, but my priority is striking a balance between really good security and elegant simplicity to prevent user error in case something happens to me so that my Luddite loved ones won't fuck up the recovery process. What are your favorite elegant setups, it doesn't have to be multisig, but I feel like the added complexity of spreading my stack across multiple wallets and managing a bunch of seed phrases is not what I'm looking for?
