What’s the Latest on Post-Quantum Resistant Bitcoin?

On some level, I am sure that we do not know how all this will play out with certainty. We do know that quantum computers will render current encryption strategies obsolete. What are the implications for bitcoin and what’s the current state of BTC relevant research?

I am still trying to wrap my head around the whole quantum question because obviously the he entire digitized digital world cannot just shut down that day, let alone bitcoin.

Note: if this stupid little curiosity post causes a tiny downward blip in the spot price, I will be picking up those sats.
