Blackrock reminds me of the Deathstar just wanderng around the galaxy taking over or destroying anything in it's path. With $10 trillion in assets, they could easily gobble up Kraken if they like what they see with their Bitcoin experiment: https://www.coindesk.com/business/2022/09/02/asset-management-giant-blackrock-to-use-kraken-subsidiary-for-crypto-product/
Kraken has discussed an exit strategy in the past by indicating a desire to go public when the market recovers--it doesn't seem like a stretch they'd just cash out to the Blackrock instead. This would seem absolutely horrible for the crypto market and participants. If you're not terrified of Blackrock, you probably should be: https://medium.com/yardcouch-com/blackrock-the-secret-company-that-owns-the-world-b96111277e0f
What do you estimate is the likelihood this would, or even could, happen?
