Back in 2007, when I started working in a new IT setup in India, I remember them being super excited about Second Life. They made strategies around Second Life and even set up our company there. The Second Life was supposed to be an elevated version of the internet. You only had an identity in the traditional web, but you had a personality in Second Life. That's how we understood it back then.
Fast Forward 2022, and now you wonder how this is different from Metaverse. Look at Meta, where Mark keeps going around the virtual world, isn't that the same principle? I think it is just a new name with an old game.
