Will mass adoption ever be possible?

With this whole Ledger debacle, I'm really aggravated. I recently purchased a 2nd ledger since the first one was so old it couldn't hold many coins. Now this issue has popped up.

How can we ever expect mass adoption? So many hackers, failures, and apparently mass misinformation when it comes to keeping your assets safe. We always preach around here, "not your keys, not your wallet." It seems even when you think they are your keys they truly are not.

The cryptoverse moves extremely fast. There are always updates and changes etc. How can we expect mass adoption when it's basically a fulltime job to make sure your assets are safe? How can we expect mass adoption when you need dang near an I.T degree to understand what is going on or use things like dexs. Want a specific coin? Sure, buy this one here, then send that to here, then swap it for this, now bridge it to that, then buy your coin. All while paying $53948 in fees if you don't know what you're doing. Don't forget to check the 254463 letter/number soup in order to make sure your sending it to the correct wallet. Because God forbid if you mess up it's gone forever.

So between exchanges, hackers, regulation, bad actors, needing an I.T degree, an insane amount of determination to stay updated on changes, and a mass amount of responsibility, we need to figure out who is actually trustworthy enough for us to store our assets. Which is no easy feat considering the crypto sphere is FILLED with misinformation. Let's also not forget, the challenges that come with a cold wallet. You have to store your key, make multiples in case something happens to one, then hide them all like a squirrel hides a nut. Then if you want to access it you have to jump through hoops to do what you need to do.

Idk maybe I'm angry, maybe I'm just tired of dealing with all the constant bs. I've been in this space since 2017 and it's burning me out.
