This is relevant because it seems that every blockchain out there (especially layer-1 smart contract platforms) are doing their own thing, trying to dominate NFTs, DeFi or consolidate value only to its own coin/token, but that's not the way of the future.
Right now the major challenge that blockchain technology is facing is the lack of interoperability, or the lack of cross-chain compatibility.
The projects that are working hard to address those issues--the biggest names out there would be Polkadot (DOT), Cosmos (ATOM) and Chainlink (LINK)-- projects that are severely undervalued compared to other chains out there.
Each blockchain project has different characteristics that prevent them from communicating with each other, unconnected to other chains, preventing crypto from reaching its true potential of interconnectedness; which would allow integration with existing systems in an easily accessible interface, being able to initiate transactions on other networks and conducting interchain transactions with much lower gas fees.
Why are all of these wonderful projects so severely undervalued?
