Using the etherscan.io autocomplete feature, I found at least 7 addresses that look like the Ukranian Ethereum donations address, but are a little bit different in the middle.
Also, these other addresses all have one relatively small transaction going in a few days ago. But in an amount that an average donation would be.
First of all, I thought it is harder to forge a private key the more characters of the public key are pre-defined.
If that is the case, perhaps noone has the private key, and the goal is to misdirect those funds into oblivion, making them impossible to recover?
What other purpose could there be? If the goal was to attract many donations, that's clearly failed.
