Hi Everyone,
I currently have a DeFi wallet with Blockchain.com. Recently, I sent a small amount of BTC to an external address, but a much larger amount of change was produced, which hasn’t appeared in my Blockchain.com account. Customer support has been unhelpful in resolving this issue, and now I can’t log into my wallet at all because I’m not receiving the SMS 2FA codes.
In relation to the SMS issue, Blockchain.com's support suggested I restore my wallet using the 12-word recovery phrase, but after reading this forum, I’m concerned about the platform’s reputation and safety.
My question is: if I download Electrum and use the “I have a seed” option to restore my wallet, will the process be straightforward? I’m unsure what address types are used by Blockchain.com and can’t access my account to check.
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time in advance.
