Thoughts about moons and its usage on reddit

All Cryptocurrencies

Hello fellow crypto enthusiasts,

I like the concept of moons and I was quite happy when they initially got introduced to r/cc. You received moons for participating in this community and it went pretty well. If you liked a comment or someone initially opened his reddit vault, you tipped the user with some moons. Therefore, participation and quality was compensated through karma as well as moons. With the transition to the main net, one needs gas now to transfer or tip moons. Even if it's a small amount you need for it, I think this kills the design of moons as an interaction and appreciation medium.

Wouldn't it better if you had two wallets in which you can switch your moons like you can with several exchanges (main account and trading account)? So that you don't have to pay gas for tipping users on reddit and only have to pay gas in case you want to move your tokens out of reddit? Since moons are becoming kind of valuable we should reduce the barriers to give moons an actual purpose by using them and not just karma farming/hodling it.

Happy new year!
