We met on here and we're now releasing an application we've built together, after 2 years of development

I am really excited to finally share this announcement with you all - considering that this subreddit pretty much represents the starting point for our idea.

The tool we've been working on - AESIR is set to release this month after successfully completing a closed and Open beta. This comes after 2 years of continuous development work, across a small (but agile) team. We're stoked to take this product to market, and start a new chapter in our journey.

But first - let me share with a bit of the backstory and explain how we got here, and what AESIR is -

It was about 2 years ago that I started sharing on here some of the tools that I coded to help me trade cryptocurrency algorithmically. Before I knew it the GitHub repos quickly blew up and people form this subreddit started contributing more and more to the project. Seeing the response, a few of us decided to turn this thing in to a product, with a UI and all the bells and whistles as many people who wanted to use it couldn't do so because some technical knowledge was required.

Fast forward to today and we're at the end of our pre-release sprint, and preparing to release a real SaaS as a real startup - AESIR. I'm incredibly grateful to everyone here that engaged and supported this project, and everyone who upvoted it enough so that it could get the momentum in needed to get it off the ground.

The focus of the tool, in our vision is are learnings and experiences people share with each other. Coming from a background where community is pretty much at the core of why we decided to start in the first place, we believe that it's not enough to just put a product out there, but there needs to be a genuine dialogue between everyone involved in using the platform in one way or another.

Another massive reason for learning and education is the fact that a lot of people have a wrong idea of that algorithmic trading is in the first place, and what these platforms actually offer. Algorithmic trading, at its core is just trading by using a set of user-defined rules. It's got nothing to do with all those automated trading scams that you see floating on the web and everyone promising passive gains via an automation tool is most likely a fraud.

To facilitate this dialogue and the idea of sharing, as well as make it easy for people to try algorithmic trading in a safe way, we've built a Social Hub where you can see other configurations, clone them, and then try them out in test mode with fake money. We want people to find new strategies, whether it's a complex DCA based on Technical Analysis or some other form of trading, and actually succeed in the market, and we believe that a community-focused application is the way to go.
