I’ve been exploring the crypto space for a while now, and one project that constantly grabs my attention is Internet Computer Protocol (ICP). However, every time I try to research it, I end up in the middle of a war zone between hardcore believers and vocal critics.
Supporters talk about ICP as a revolutionary tech that could decentralize the internet and make blockchain infinitely scalable. They highlight its unique features, like running smart contracts directly on-chain and replacing traditional cloud services. On paper, it sounds groundbreaking.
On the flip side, critics accuse it of being overhyped, poorly marketed, and overly centralized. There are complaints about tokenomics, early investors dumping their coins, and the sharp price crash after its launch.
I’ve seen some argue that it’s misunderstood and ahead of its time, while others say it’s nothing but smoke and mirrors. Even looking at the roadmap and updates, I’m struggling to piece together why the opinions are so extreme.
